What Bad Crowd is

The main activity of Bad Crowd is film production and their editorial line concerns mostly art films with strong story lines and documentaries about social issues. Through their international network of artists, they aim to create artworks all over the world and count a great number of films, along with participation and award-winning at international festivals.

Their most recent credits are, the feature film SIDEWAY by Tayfun Pirselimoglu (premiere in Warsaw international festival, best director, best male actor in Istanbul FF’18, best art director in Ankara FF’18), the feature film ASHES by Stratos Tzitzis (inter. premiere Montreal World film fest.) and the Argentinian-Greek documentary WORKING DANCERS by J.Heimann-K.Bousmpoura (world premiere Thessaloniki International Documentary fest). Bad Crowd aims for every project to be a part of a co-production, and thus they co-operate with France, Italy, Turkey, Serbia, Romania. Also, they participate in programs supported by Creative Europe and Eurimages. One of their desires is to use their artistic expertise at social initiatives, targeting towards a better world through culture. Their social-artistic initiative about refugees CHILDREN WITHOUT NIGHTMARES is in progress.

They participate in co-production markets of the major festivals in Europe, the most recent being the Film London Production Finance Market (PFM) for their film KERR, which is in development granted by Creative Europe Media Program. Their film I’M NOT HIM by T.PIRSELIMOGLU supported by Eurimages, participated in 52 festivals and received 7 awards.

They just completed the feature A SIMPLE MAN by Tassos GERAKINIS (nominated for the Glocal in Progress Award in the Festival de San Sebastian International Film Festival), supported by the Greek Film Center & ERT TV and the short film WHITE CHRISTMAS by Dimitris Giamloglou, both in the post production stage. The company’s plans includes: the music creative documentary MARKOS supported by the Greek Film Center & OTE TV, the feature MEMORY RELOADED in development supported by CREATIVE EUROPE MEDIA PROGRAM, the feature film ANNA in script development supported by Greek Film Center, the feature REMEMBER awarded in Pack & Pitch session of Sarajevo Film Festival and the mini TV series SIX NIGHTS ON THE ACROPOLIS which will be released by ERT broadcaster.
